KEY POINTS:
Twenty years after beating France in the final of the inaugural Rugby World Cup, the 1987 All Blacks will revive those memories on Eden Park.
The Halberg Trust has invited all 26 players and the coaching staff to a function on August 10.
Each year the trust organises a series of sports celebrity events around the country and chief executive Graeme Taylor said the organisation was delighted to be able to reassemble the players and their partners at the venue.
"We have made contact with all members of the team and are confident that sporting followers will be keen to join us in celebrating the achievements of our only World Cup winning team," he said.
To further replicate that memorable afternoon commentators Keith Quinn (television) and John McBeth (radio) will co-host the luncheon.
