Rugby: Canterbury aims for retribution

Canterbury aims to reaffirm itself as one of the Air New Zealand Cup';s elite teams in the match against Otago in Dunedin this afternoon.

The red and blacks sustained a shock defeat at the hands of Manawatu in the opening round.

Canterbury coach Rob Penney hopes their efforts transfer from the training ground to the match this afternoon. Penney says most of the issues were mental so hopefully they have rectified that.

Kick-off is at 2.35. Later, Bay of Plenty hosts Counties Manukau in Mt Maunganui at 5.30, then at 7.35 Northland plays Hawke';s Bay in Napier.
