Negotiations with Hawkes Bay rugby coach Brendon Ratcliffe are continuing, say union bosses. Ratcliffe, in charge for the past two years, guided Hawkes Bay to the best result of the promoted teams into this year's expanded national provincial championship. But there appeared no guarantee he would be reappointed, with Bay of Plenty assistant coach Kevin Schuler and former All Blacks coach Laurie Mains said to be also after the job.
