Carisbrook confirmed its status as a graveyard for touring teams last week but Eden Park has garnered an even more formidable record in recent years.
The All Blacks have not lost there in the professional era, successful in 10 tests since 1994. In that year they drew 18-18 with South Africa,
a result that followed soon after the last-minute 20-23 loss to France.
Before 1994, New Zealand had an 11-test winning streak, meaning they have lost just once in their past 23 tests at a ground which has hosted more All Blacks tests than any other.
The overall record from 54 tests dating back to 1921 stands at 42 wins, two draws and 10 losses.
The All Blacks have won two of the three tests against England here, losing 10-16 in 1973 but finding success in 1963 (21-11) and 1998 (40-10).
The under-strength 1998 tourists had suffered a record 64-22 thumping at Carisbrook the previous week.
The only survivors on Saturday from either team who played in that game are in the halves.
Andrew Mehrtens started at first five-eighths with his replacement Carlos Spencer on the bench. Those positions are reversed tomorrow.
For England, only halfback and then-captain Matt Dawson is back. He scored all of England's 10 points that day, but finds himself relegated to the bench tomorrow.
