Rugby: Umaga rejoining All Blacks after birth of daughter

All Blacks captain Tana Umaga has become a father for the third time and he is now winging his way to South Africa to re-join his team mates.

Umaga's wife Rochelle gave birth to a 3.8kg (8lbs 7 ounces) baby girl, Lily-Kate, at around 8.45pm last night in Wellington.

Umaga was present for the birth, and mother and daughter are doing well.

The couple have two other children Cade, 10, and Gabrielle, 4.

Umaga flew out of the capital this morning, bound for South Africa.

He will arrive in the Republic tonight night as the All Blacks prepare to face the Springboks in their final Tri Nations test.
