"Similar to the Titans boys, they're just trying to find good form towards the back end of the competition and the game before last they blew [Brisbane] off the park and that's that type of team they are," he said.
"They've still got some great players in their side, especially their back field in their outside backs. I still look up to those [Brett and Josh] Morris boys so I'm looking forward to getting over there and playing them."
The 25-year-old skipper politely batted away questions about the fact he is among the favourites to win the Dally M award and, as he has done all season, also deflected praise of his improved captaincy on to the side's other senior players.
"I'm just more comfortable because I've got good players around me," he said today.
"I've got Blake Green, Tohu Harris, Adam Blair, Simon Mannering, I keep naming those guys every time I speak about it, but I just feel really comfortable because of those players."
Coach Stephen Kearney, who after arriving at the club in late 2016 made the bold call to appoint Tuivasa-Sheck as captain, is not surprised it's taken time for him to grow into the role.
"He has been wonderful. And it was always going to be a bit of a process for him in terms of developing that part of his game," said Kearney.
"And he'd be the first to admit he's got some pretty good lieutenants alongside him that are helping him with that process.
"[Leadership consultant] Jamie Pennell, who is doing some work with us in that area too, he's helping us with that part of his game too. But Roger is a natural leader by action and all the other parts were always going to take time for him to grow and develop and that's what we've seen from him this year," said Kearney.
