Molan quits radio show
Footy Show co-host Erin Molan has quit her weekly sports chat segment on Aussie radio station Kiis FM after being hit with inappropriate and sexist questions. Earlier this month, Molan was subjected to questions live on air about how many sportsmen she has had sex with and whether she has had a boob job, while controversial host Kyle Sandilands said her siblings were "probably all coke-heads". Molan, rightly unimpressed, made it clear she would not be returning to the show.
Hunt weighs up offers
The Gold Coast Titans have reportedly involved the NRL in talks with New Zealand-born former Broncos and Queensland star Karmichael Hunt's management about a possible return to the 13-man code. The Titans are hoping for some salary cap concessions to help them better an offer from Super Rugby's Queensland Reds, with both clubs looking to wrestle Hunt away from his five-year stint with AFL's Gold Coast Suns.
Soward's nice touch
Footage of young Panthers fan Connor Garland riding a rollercoaster of emotions from the hill during Penrith's upset defeat to Cronulla in round 20 gained a lot of attention on social media. The poor kid was almost tearing his hair out and was filmed punching the ground in disgust as the Sharks stole a two-point victory. Panthers five-eighth Jamie Soward was moved by Connor's passion and surprised him with a signed boot after the team's one-point win over the Cowboys on Monday night.
