NRL playoffs - if the season ended today

With two rounds remaining, here's how the NRL playoffs would play out if the standings remained as they are.

As it stands, the Warriors face a trip to Penrith where they were handed a 36-4 thrashing in round 17. The two sides clash in Auckland this Friday.

The Storm moved into top spot following a win over the Eels on Friday as Craig Bellamy's men look to claim the club's four minor premiership since 2011.

Elimination finals
5 Panthers v 8 Warriors
6 Sharks v 7 Broncos

If the Warriors were to win in the opening round of the playoffs, they would face a trip to either the Roosters or Rabbitohs for a spot in the Preliminary finals.
