NRL: Eels name Inu for Titans clash

SYDNEY - Parramatta will once again give centre Krisnan Inu time to prove his fitness for Friday's NRL semifinal clash with Gold Coast Titans at the Sydney Football Stadium.

The New Zealand international centre missed the Eels' impressive 25-12 win over minor premiers St George Illawarra on Sunday with a hamstring injury but was included in the side Daniel Anderson named yesterday.

The 22-year-old will be given a fitness test before Thursday's captain's run and will take his place in the team should he come through unscathed.

Meanwhile, Gold Coast coach John Cartwright has kept Parramatta guessing over his final line-up.

William Zillman - back from a four match ban for biting - has been named on an extended bench with Preston Campbell at fullback and injury concern Mat Rogers (concussion) at pivot.

However, Cartwright has refused to rule out slotting Zillman into fullback, Campbell into five-eighth and Rogers into the centres for the must-win game.

"We will train with all options then wake up Friday morning then make up our minds," Cartwright said on Tuesday.

Zillman comes into the squad at the expense of utility Josh Graham who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a fractured foot.

The Titans have never lost to the Eels in the three previous meetings between the sides.

Brisbane have named second-row Ashton Sims in their starting lineup for Saturday's clash with the Dragons at Suncorp Stadium.

Sims, who started his career with the joint venture before moving to Brisbane last season, is rewarded for a strong performance in the 40-32 win against the Titans last week.

Broncos coach Ivan Henjak said Sims' selection is just reward for his improved recent form.

"It's a real credit to him, because he was struggling there at different times," said Henjak.

"He's always kept a really good attitude and worked really hard and I'm really pleased things have turned around for him and he's playing a very good role for us at the moment."

Sims will replace Tonie Carroll who will start the game from the interchange bench.

Dragons coach Wayne Bennett, who will be looking for his first ever finals win at Suncorp Stadium after tasting defeat six times during his time as Broncos coach, has kept faith with the team that was beaten by Parramatta at Kogarah.
