NRL: Bulldogs forward gets two-match ban

Struggling Canterbury will be without Gary Warburton for their next two NRL games after the second rower pleaded guilty to a dangerous contact charge today.

Warburton was put on report during the Bulldogs' 26-6 defeat against St George Illawarra last Friday and will miss Sunday's clash with Sydney Roosters at ANZ Stadium, and the round four match against South Sydney.

Melbourne prop Adam Blair has been handed a one-game ban after he pleaded guilty to a dangerous contact charge in the Storm's 20-14 win over Newcastle on Saturday.

The New Zealand test star was placed on report after an incident in the 65th minute in which his forearm came into contact with Ben Ross' head.

Warriors back rower Lewis Brown has also been sidelined for one game after he pleaded guilty to a dangerous throw charge during the Warriors' victory over Cronulla in Auckland on Saturday.

Brown and new signing James Maloney were placed on report following a tackle on Anthony Tupou, but the Warriors have opted to fight the charge against Maloney at a hearing tomorrow.

Should the decision go against former Melbourne five-eighth Maloney, he will face a two-game suspension.

South Sydney's Luke Stuart (dangerous contact) and Cronulla's John Morris (high tackle) have both escaped bans after taking early guilty pleas .
