Rugby League: Wiki fit for test

Veteran Kiwis forward Ruben Wiki will be available to face Great Britain in the opening test of their three-match series at Blackburn on Sunday after medical checks confirmed that a thumb injury he suffered playing against Wales was not serious.

Wiki, who played his 34th test at the Millennium Stadium, dislocated his right thumb part-way through the Kiwis' 50-22 win.

The thumb popped back into place before he left the field, but the jolt broke the skin and he required stitches at a Cardiff hospital before the team headed back north to their Leeds base yesterday.
