Multi Tasker and Danska Mill drew attention to their weekend prospects when they worked at Matamata yesterday.

Galloping on a good sand, Multi Tasker (Hillis) strode over 1200m in 1:21.4, the final 600m in 38.7. She looks very well and ready to improve on her recent handy efforts when she lines up at Ellerslie tomorrow.

Danska Mill (Coleman) was not after time when sent 1200m in 1:23.8, the last 1000m in 1:09.2 and 600m in 40.4. She has trained on well from her runaway maiden win three weeks ago and has to be respected in the three-year-old 1600m event at Ellerslie.

Race rival Kenny Starfighter (O. Bosson) wore blinkers when cutting out a 1200m in 1:22.2 and the final 600m in 37.5. He should be given another chance after disappointing last week.

Mareva (Walker) caught the eye when well held over 1000m in 1:12.5 and 600m in 40.2. The good looking half-sister to leading filly Shikoba makes her debut at Wanganui tomorrow.

All My Colours (Davidson) and Leaning Tower (Coleman) had speed on throughout 1000m in 1:02.6, the last 600m in 37, while Eight Bells (P. Ormsby) ran the same distance in 1:03.4 and 37.7.

Princess Zabeel (O. Bosson) wasted no time with 1200m in 1:17.8, the last 600m in 37.9. Over the same ground Centapin (Dowling) took 1:22.8 and 41.4, Dahling (Davidson) ran 1:23.6 and 39.4, Cruz Control (Ritchie) 1:21 and 37.8, and Hi Flyer (Rastrick) 1:26.6 and 41.2.

Pinstinct (Gartner) and Vinsky (Yamaguchi) covered 1000m in 1:05.2, the last 600m in 37.8. Wanganui entrant Show Lad (Melton) was restricted to 1000m in 1:10.2, the final 600m in 37.8, while Pinprick (Coleman) clocked 1:09.7 and 41.2, and Destinate (Tetzlaff) 1:09.8 and 41.6.

On the all-weather track Bellevue Lass (Dowling) completed her preparation for Ellerslie with 1200m in 1:24.8 and 600m in 40.4. Atholl Palace (Gillies) and Hassi Messoud (Hercock) ran the same distance in 1:20.2 and 39.2, while Ballymore Lass (Davidson) cut out 1000m in 1:08.6, the final 600m in 38.6.

On the course proper, which was slow 20 metres out, Waitui Dancer (Rastrick) and Scilla (Tynan) ran 1000m in 1:10.7 and the last 600m in 40.6.

* Speedalot was again especially pleasing of Ellerslie runners in training at Pukekohe yesterday. Ala Moana also hit out freely.

Working on a soft No 1 grass, Speedalot galloped 1200m in 1:14.8, the final 600 in 36.5.

Ala Moana covered 1200m in 1:15.3, the last 600 in 37.

Senorita Ivory was given an easier 1200m, taking 1:18.6, the last 600 in 39. She has come through her winning race last Saturday in good shape.

On the all-weather sand, The Sadler and Echo Maid completed 1200m in 1:15.4, the last 600 in 37.2. Doryman sprinted 400m in 27.8.

Blue Ranger showed his readiness to resume racing on Monday by running 1000m in 1:1.5, the final 600 in 37.

Cornwall Handicap hope Tantalic strode 1200m in 1:17, the last 600 in 37.1.

Midnight Magic, another booked to race on Monday, dashed 1000m with an unnamed Le Destin filly in a smart 1:1.3, the closing 600 in 36.1.

* Stablemates Dead Common and Whatafox rounded off their preparation for Ellerslie with a smart gallop at Cambridge yesterday morning. The No.2 grass was heavy.

Dead Common (Ropiha) and Whatafox (Gould) matched strides over 1000m in 1:8, sprinting the final 600m in 40.1. Both were travelling well throughout.

Del Toro (Callaway) was sent a comfortable 600m in 44.6. I'llthinkaboutit (Tata) and Slumber (Culley) left 1200m behind in 1:22.4, the concluding 600m in 40.3. Danz Star (Griffin) was not asked for much when cruising 800m in 59.2. Cheeky Devil (Cameron) worked well over 800m in 52.1.

Astaire (Hofmann) covered 800m in good style in 52. West is Best (Brierley) was timed from the 600m in 41.1. Tuscaloosa (Lang) returned 1:7 for 1000m, coming home in 40.3. I'm Insatiable (Norvall) came to the end of 1000m in 1:7.9, the 600m in 40. Pinot Gregio (Culley) and Spinning Meteor (Walsh) were on terms throughout 1000m in 1:8.l, the last 600m in 40.8.

Texas (Callaway) was not fully extended after completing 600m in 43. Pay the Believers (Holmes) followed with 600m in 41.6. Shereigns (Dresler) kept up a solid pace over 1400m in 1:34, the concluding 600m in 39.7. Whero (Lang) was given an easy task over 800m in 57.7.
