DUBLIN - Ronan O'Gara with 20 points inspired Munster to a comfortable 30-6 victory over Irish rivals Leinster on Sunday to book his side a place in the Heineken Cup final where they will face French side Biarritz.
Munster dominated for most of the match -- the first time thetwo sides have met in the Heineken Cup -- thanks to a steely performance from the forwards and a superb display from O'Gara.
The Irish international capped great kicking with a try minutes before the final whistle. He also set up Denis Leamy's try in the 10th minute with a superb kick to the corner.
Munster's third try came in injury time thanks to interception by Trevor Halstead in his own half.
Leinster's Felipe Contepomi, the architect of Leinster's win over Toulouse, had as bad a game as O'Gara's was good.
The Argentina international missed three out of his five penalties and handed Munster three points when he was penalised for scrapping with a Munster player off the ball.
Man-of-the match Paul O'Connell, masterful in the line out, praised his side's efforts but said Munster -- who have twice been Heineken Cup finalists but never won -- still faced a major challenge beating Biarritz in Cardiff on May 20.
"It was a massive match for us, it was a great game but you have to concentrate on what it is -- a semi-final. It's going to be a tough next few weeks now," he told Irish broadcaster RTE.
"On our day, maybe we can beat them, maybe we can beat any team."
Biarritz beat Bath 18-9 in the other semi-final on Saturday.
