Motorsport: Indy 500 re-starts after long delay

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis 500 was restarted after lengthy rain delay here today with Brazil's Tony Kanaan in the lead.

The race had been red flagged with 113 of the scheduled 200 laps completed when heavy rains swept across the Brickyard causing a three hour interruption.

With 48 laps remaining Kanaan led Sam Hornish Jr. and Dario Franchetti while New Zealander Scott Dixon was in ninth place.
