Golf: Long and Alker best Kiwis at Jacob's Creek Open

Michael Long and Steven Alker are the best of the New Zealanders heading into the third round of the Jacob's Creek Open in Adelaide.

Both Long and Alker will begin the day at even par, seven shots behind surprise leader Adam Groom of New South Wales.

Mahal Pearce is the only other New Zealander to make the cut at two over.

Meanwhile, a deaf player leads the Malaysian Golf Open.

South Korean Lee Sung-man, who has been deaf from birth, shares the lead in the second round, which has been halted by rain.

He is at seven under par.

New Zealander Eddie Lee is at one under, with nine holes to complete when the second round resumes on Saturday.
