Golf: Clash of Titans in the first round

The vagaries of the draw and some wayward performances in the strokeplay qualifying event have produced a final-worthy match in the first round of the Auckland matchplay at Akarana on Saturday.

Kevin Chun, just named in New Zealand's Eisenhower team, will play Richard Hislop, his Auckland team-mate who has been unbeaten in matchplay in the past two national team championships. The top qualifier, Bevan Dennison from Huapai, will play Chris Saunoa from The Grange.
