Cathryn Bristow has earned the second New Zealand women's golf spot at the Olympics, if selected.
Bristow has beaten out Liv Cheng, being the second highest ranked player at the time of the cutoff.
Liv Cheng missed the cut at the US women's golf Open and finished towards the foot
of the field, dropping 12 places in the rankings.
Bristow dropped six rankings places herself this week, but is 446th in the world ahead of Cheng in 449th.
Any selection still has to be ratified by the New Zealand Olympic Committee.
