Zambrotta joins Swiss 2nd-tier club Chiasso

Save CHIASSO, Switzerland (AP) Italian World Cup-winning defender Gianluca Zambrotta has joined Chiasso in the Swiss League second division.
Chiasso says in a statement that the 36-year-old Zambrotta has signed a one-year contract and will also work as an assistant coach.
Zambrotta has been without a club for one year
since his last contract at AC Milan expired.
A member of the 2006 World Cup team, Zambrotta also played for Juventus and Barcelona.
