Soccer: Probe into punching of ref

Fifa's disciplinary committee is to discuss the case of Portugal's Joao Pinto tomorrow, after allegations that he hit Argentine referee Angel Sanchez after being sent off in their loss to South Korea. Should 30-year-old Pinto be found guilty he will face a lengthy ban which could sideline him for the European championships in his home country in 2004.
