Football Ferns great Kirsty Yallop has tied the knot with partner and former Australian midfielder, Tameka Butt.
Yallop and Butt announced their engagement in 2017 after their on-pitch connection playing for Norwegian team Klepp IL turned into an off-pitch romance.
The pair got married in Mangawhai on Saturday, both posting a photo from their big day to Instagram.
"I can finally officially call you my beautiful wife ... thanks to everyone that shared our special day with us and for all the msgs [sic] of love & support," Butt captioned the picture.
"We are officially married it could not have been a more perfect day even though it rained all day until we walked down our aisles ... We feel so lucky to have shared it with so many of our loved ones. Thank you to everyone for all the love & support. It was the best weekend ever," shared Yallop.
Yallop played in all of New Zealand's games at the 2012 Summer Olympics and featured in one of New Zealand's three matches at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.
The 32-year-old retired from the Football Ferns in 2017, putting an end to a remarkable 13-year international career that brought 104 caps and 12 goals with the national side.
After spells in Australia, the USA and Sweden, Yallop settled at the Norwegian club where she is still based with Butt.
