Errant pitch hits photographer in delicate area, still gets shot

A photographer has copped the brunt of an errant baseball pitch to the groin region but still managed to get his shot.

Tony Capobianco was standing not far from home plate during the traditional first pitch before the clash between the Boston Red Sox and the St Louis Cardinals at Fenway Park today.

Red Sox fan Jordan Leandre, a cancer survivor, was throwing out the pitch as part of honouring the work of the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

However Leandre lost control of the ball and the errant pitch collected Capobianco in a delicate strike zone.

Despite the video going viral, Capobianco still got a photo and also saw the funny side of the incident.
