Cricket: Tuffey back for Auckland

Former test bowler Daryl Tuffey returns to the Auckland squad for their third national championship match against Wellington, starting at Eden Park on Monday. Tuffey, who spends his off-season playing for Chandigarh Lions in the Indian Cricket League, replaces Andrew de Boorder in a squad of 13. Wicketkeeper Gareth Hopkins returns after his short dash to Brisbane to cover for New Zealand wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum before the first test began this week. The other 11 remain from the team well beaten by Central Districts in their second State Championship game in Napier this week. In other games starting on Monday, Otago host Canterbury in Queenstown and Northern Districts face CD in Hamilton.
