CAPE TOWN - New Zealand were 62 for one at lunch on the opening day of the second cricket test against South Africa at Newlands here today after the Black Caps were invited to bat first after losing the toss.
Opener Michael Papps was the only wicket to fall whenhe was bowled by Andre Nel for 22 after he and Peter Fulton had posted New Zealand's first half century opening partnership of the series.
Papps departed with the score on 50. Fulton was not out 36 at lunch while skipper Stephen Fleming was on one.
