Cricket: Wet weather sees play abandoned at Eden Park

Miserable weather in Auckland has meant cricket fans will have to wait an extra day for the opening one dayer between New Zealand and Pakistan.

Steady rain has been falling all day in Auckland, leaving the Eden Park ground staff the unenviable task of mopping up the saturated outfield.

The match will now be played tomorrow and will get underway, weather permitting, at 10:30 a.m.

Rain is forecast for Auckland tomorrow morning, however it is expected to clear in the early afternoon.
