Games flagbearer won't be Ulmer

The New Zealand flagbearer for the Commonwealth Games will be announced tomorrow night but it certainly will not be Sarah Ulmer. The double Commonwealth Gold medalist will not be in Melbourne for the opening ceremony on Wednesday night, opting to stay home in New Zealand to train.

Chef de Mission Dave Currie says Ulmer is nursing herself back from an injury, and will join the team in Melbourne further down the track.

Dave Currie says he has made the decision who will be the flagbearer, that will be revealed at a team function tomorrow night.
