Basketball: Commonwealth Games opponents

The New Zealand men's and women's basketball teams will open their Melbourne Commonwealth Games campaigns in March against South Africa and Malta respectively.

The Tall Blacks' first two games are in Bendigo, against South Africa and England, before playing their final pool match in Geelong against Barbados.

The Tall Ferns face Malta at Traralgon before two matches at Bendigo against Malaysia and Nigeria. The top two teams from each pool go through to the semifinals.
