Basketball: Ferns beat Taiwan 70-67

The New Zealand women's basketball team beat Taiwan 70-67 in Taiwan today.

The match was played after the William Jones Cup tournament in which the New Zealanders suffered only one loss -- 74-70 to Taiwan yesterday.

"We demonstrated improvement again," coach Mike McHugh said.

"We continued to develop the team culture and showed great poise."

The Tall Ferns wind up their tour with another match against Taiwan tomorrow.
