Adams has long been considered a future NBA draft pick but, speaking to media after the game, he insisted he would be returning to Pitt for another year.
"I'm definitely coming back. I don't know why you guys keep asking that question. I'm definitely coming back.''
Meanwhile, Loe got the stat that counted - a victory - with St Louis University, who beat New Mexico State 64-44. Loe went scoreless and had four fouls in his match-up against 2.25m Sim Bhullar.
