Waiheke section sale

A 2,469sq m waterfront section at Onetangi on Waiheke Island sold for $1.05 million to an ex-pat New Zealander based in London. The elevated coastal section in Belle View Plc has uninterrupted views across Onetangi Beach and the Gulf. It was purchased unseen by the buyer who had originally been competing for the adjoining site. Barry Curle, of Bayleys, Waiheke, who sold the property, believes it is the first residential section to sell for over $1 million on Waiheke Island. He also sold the adjacent 2,570sq m section for $875,000 to a local buyer. Strong demand for a limited supply of waterfront property on Waiheke from local and overseas buyers is putting upward pressure on prices, he says.
