Auckland architecture firm Architectus has been named one of the "smart set" in a list of international firms by the design magazine Wallpaper.
The list includes architects from the United States, Ireland, Britain, Australia, Sweden and Norway.
The magazine said Architectus was gaining a name for itself outside New Zealand.
It noted
its designs of Canterbury University's maths and computer science building and a Kelvin Rd house in Auckland.
The magazine said the firm was "concerned with how things are made and the way making expresses the spirit and intent of the architecture."
