Save A woman has escaped with minor injuries after being trapped in her car in a collision with a train at a rail crossing in Canterbury this afternoon.
The crash happened at the crossing on the corner of Fraser's Road and State Highway One in Dunsandel, south of Christchurch, at about
2.15pm.
Fire Service personnel freed the woman from her car at about 3pm.
St John's ambulance spokesman Paul Burns said the woman had minor to moderate injuries.
She was being flown to Christchurch Hospital.
