Woman drove car into partner

A Tokoroa woman told police she drove into her partner because she wanted him to feel the pain she had felt from men for the past 14 years.

Rewa-Jane Caroline Matene, 27, was due to face trial in the High Court at Rotorua but pleaded guilty to charges of injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and endangering another vehicle. A charge of attempted murder was withdrawn and she was remanded on bail for sentencing.
