A woman has been flown to hospital after being hit by the ramp of a horse float on the Kapiti Coast.
The 59-year-old Paraparaumu woman was out for a bike ride when she saw someone having trouble getting a horse onto a horse float.
The Life Flight Trust says she
tried to close the ramp at the back of the float, but the animal kicked back and caused the ramp to fall on her.
She suffered a broken arm and leg, and was flown to Wellington Hospital on the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
