Woman accused of Petone stabbing due in court today

A woman accused of fatally stabbing a Hutt Valley man this week is due to appear in court today.

The 29-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in Lower Hutt District Court over the death of 30-year-old Sean Verma.

Emergency services were called to a Petone flat about 10.30pm on Tuesday where they found Mr Verma with a stab wound to his chest.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton urged any witnesses to speak with police.

"At this stage, we are not seeking anyone else in relation to his death," he said.
