A woman accused of trying to kill a Hamilton man has been sent to trial, Radio New Zealand reported today.
The 27-year-old woman has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Swaran Singh and of wilfully setting fire to Mr Singh's car knowing that danger to life was likely, thereport said.
In June, passers-by found Mr Singh on the outskirts of Hamilton rolling in the puddle metres from where the car in which he had been sitting had exploded in flames.
Mr Singh, a 33-year-old businessman, suffered severe burns to 12 per cent of his body.
