A man says he is “petrified” after watching three men with a gun storm a house in Napier overnight.
The witness, who lives nearby, told Hawke’s Bay Today the men injured two people before firing a shot as they fled.
A .22 bullet casing was found on his drivewayafter the incident about 9.20pm on Thursday.
He claimed it was the second firearms attack on the same Riverbend Rd, Maraenui, house in the past six days, including a drive-by shooting last Friday.

Police are investigating CCTV footage after one person was critically injured and two others were seriously injured.
Emergency services, including Hato Hone St John, were called to Omahu Rd about 2.20am. The road was closed between the SH2 roundabout and Stoneycroft St shortly after.
A worker, who did not wish to be named, from a nearby business said police had asked for their CCTV footage.
Police had told them they expected the road to remain closed until about noon on Friday, the worker said.
A police chase of a vehicle along the Hawke’s Bay Expressway was also reported on Friday morning.
The Maraenui witness said he felt the tensions were gang-related and had escalated over the past fortnight.
