A baby was flown to hospital yesterday after swallowing a battery.
The little girl was taken from Whitianga on the Coromandel to Starship Hospital at 11.52pm after she reportedly swallowed a "button battery".
She was experiencing stomach pain, a spokesman for the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter said this morning.
They
earlier said the patient was a teenager but have since corrected the details.
The girl was said to be in a moderate condition.
