A 21-year-old driver has pleaded not guilty to injuring a group of school pupils after allegedly ploughing into them at a North Shore bus stop.
The students, from Westlake girls and boys high schools, were injured in September last year after being struck by a Nissan Skyline.
The car reportedlymounted the footpath and crashed through a barrier fence on Wairau Rd.
Five months after the crash, police charged Michael Abou Chaaya, who made his first appearance in court in late February.
Today Abou Chaaya returned to North Shore District Court and entered not guilty pleas to six charges of dangerous driving causing injury, through his defence counsel Geoffrey Anderson.
