A man has been rushed to hospital after an incident in West Auckland described by police as a “physical altercation”.
Police said they are investigating an incident near the Western Motorway this evening that has left a man seriously injured.
Officers were called about 7.40pm to the Te Atatu Rdon-ramp, Te Atatu, after a report of a physical altercation between a group of people.
“One man sustained serious injuries and has been transported to hospital,” police said in a statement.
“A number of people are now assisting with our inquiries into the circumstances of the incident.
