SH2 reopens in Kaitoke, Upper Hutt after 3-vehicle crash

State Highway 2 has reopened after a triple-vehicle crash in Upper Hutt.

Police said they were informed of the incident in Kaitoke around 4pm.

In a post, NZTA confirmed State Highway 2 in Kaitoke was fully open again.

“Please be patient while congestion eases.”

The road was earlier blocked in both directions while emergency services attended the scene, with no detours available.
