Wellington’s Mount Victoria tunnel has reopened after a fire systems problem forced it to close during the morning commute.
The Transport Agency said there would continue to be delays while traffic queues cleared on Monday.
The issue with the tunnel’s fire safety system had been resolved, and the system wastested before reopening the tunnel to traffic before by noon, it said.
