Wellington police incident: Kelburn Viaduct and Glenmore St closed

A police incident has closed a key commuter route in Wellington this morning, with motorists being asked to find an alternate route into the city.

Police say they were called to Glenmore St in Kelburn around 7am.

Glenmore St and the Kelburn Viaduct are closed, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

Police have confirmed there is no risk to public safety.
