Websites set up for messages of condolence

A Catholic Communications papal website for messages of condolences after the death of the Pope has recorded 14 messages since it opened two days ago.

Six of the messages are from Auckland, three are from Wellington, and one each from Turkey, South Auckland, Rotorua and Paekakariki. Another website set up by Catholic lay people for young people.

The first message, from Brendan Malone, says: "JP II you were an inspiration and a hero to me!"
