Another fine day is in store for much of New Zealand today.
The second week of the school holidays is shaping up to be perfect for outdoor activities as warm, settled weather continues over both islands.
MetService forecaster Hannah Moes said nearly everywhere would enjoy the sun but areas from
Waikato north, and the West Coast and southernmost regions of the South Island could expect light showers throughout the day.
The showers in the north would clear as the day went on with any risk of getting wet confined to western Northland by the end of the day.
North Island temperatures would sit in the early 20s with Auckland hitting 20C and Wellington at 19C.
