Raw footage shows the moment an avalanche caused by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Nepal hits Base Camp on Mount Everest.
The video, recorded by a German mountaineer and uploaded to YouTube, first captures the rumbling of the earthquake, followed by the roar of the approaching avalanche, then the wall ofwhite as the snow hits.

The cameraman and his companion are heard panting and swearing as they huddle inside their tent. They re-emerge to see everything is covered large clumps of snow.
