Wings over Wairarapa 2017 is opting for a February slot, rather than the January weekend it had for the past two shows.
The show will take place on February 17, 18 and 19.
Wings Community Trust chairman Bob Francis said they had reviewed the show's performance with a mind to
financial success and growing an audience.
"There are a number of factors which impact the show financially, including available sponsorship money, increasing costs, like insurance and fuel, and keeping the event fresh and exciting every two years," Mr Francis said.
Another reason was a new partnership with the Royal New Zealand Air Force, which was planning an airshow in April in celebration of their 80th anniversary, he said.
