Vivian-Leigh Fittall, the young Kiwi mother whose struggle against cancer touched the late comedian Robin Williams and countless others, has died aged 21.
She had been suffering an aggressive form of bowel cancer.
Ms Fittall and husband Jack Waller made headlines in February when the married, just weeks after herdiagnosis.
Holding their nine-month-old daughter, Sophie, the couple married at Whangaparaoa Methodist Church on the Hibiscus Coast in February.
This morning, a post on Vivian's Facebook page read: "There is a new Star in Heaven tonight. Our precious treasure Vivian Leigh Waller passed away last night at 11.15pm".
Hundreds of friends have posted condolence messages on the page.
Fittall found out in January that a hereditary condition she carried had degenerated into aggressive liver, rectal and lung cancer and her time was likely short.
Donations poured in for the couple's last-minute wedding, including a wedding dress, suit for the groom, wedding and reception venues.
They also received a video message of support from Williams, made just weeks before he died. In the video, Fairfax media reported, Williams said he was sending all his love to her, Jack and Sophie.
"Knock this off your bucket list . . . Much love to you baby."
