West Auckland arrest after person critically injured at Rānui home

Police have made an arrest after a person was critically injured at a West Auckland home tonight.

Emergency services were called to the Rānui residential property at 7pm.

Police have cordoned off the cul-de-sac on Hillman Place.

Hato Hone St John sent an ambulance, a critical care paramedic and an operations manager to the scene.

One person was taken to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition.

Medical equipment could be seen in the cul-de-sac as police spoke to neighbours.

A police spokesperson said it appeared the people involved are known to each other.
