Two people hit by car in Christchurch

Police are seeking witnesses to a hit and run in Christchurch on Sunday.

Two people were hit by a white car at 3.50pm when crossing the intersection of Main North Road, Northcote Road and Queen Elizabeth 2 Drive, Senior Sergeant Peter Stills of Papanui police said.

The car drove off without stopping, Mr Stills said.

Three people had been crossing and the car had hit two of them, injuring one, Mr Stills said.
