Two injured after crash near Wellington’s Mt Victoria tunnel

A northbound lane of State Highway 1, near Mt Victoria tunnel in Wellington, is closed after a crash.

Emergency services were called to Paterson St, which runs through the tunnel to the Basin Reserve, shortly after 4pm.

A police spokesperson said a person had been taken to hospital in a serious condition and another was in a moderate condition after two vehicles collided in the area.

Motorists were advised to expect delays.
